History
Golden retrievers are native to England, but little is known about their history. It is said that the yellow puppy born in 1865 was a Wavy Coated Retriever owned by Lord Tweedmouth, Earl of England. Characteristics of the Golden Retriever
Fur
The color of the coat is a nice shiny shade of gold or cream, and since it was originally a water-active hunting dog, the coat repels water well. The thorax, abdomen and underside of the tail are particularly bushy, and the limbs are covered with feathers.
Due to their similar appearance, British pedigree, and intelligence, the long-haired Labrador is often confused with a retriever, despite being of different breeds.
Care
Because Golden Retrievers have a double coat, they shed a lot during the shedding season.
